Come spend a little time with Lisa Calle, the Bernina Ambassador and award winning quilter!  With her humor and down to earth attitude she will share with you her personal and professional journey of quilting.  Lisa will illustrate how she earned renowned success from her initial piece using a 3/8″ seam allowance, to her latest quilt that won awards at the Houston International Quilt Festival.  As you gain insight into Lisa’s amazing craft and her 3 step Divide and Design method, any doubts you might have regarding your own patience or talent for quilting will quickly disappear.  So, if you wonder whether or not you can quilt with pride, Lisa will give you the confidence and knowledge needed to start.  The world of quilting can be yours, too!

Mark discusses how he became a quilter, what quilts he’s currently working on and where he’s going with all of his art in the future. This lecture includes showing you his quilts (not slides). This lecture promises you will have more fun than a barrel of “quilters”.

August 8, 2018 – Cindy Grisdela – Playing with Colors
Cindy Grisdela is an award-winning artist who’s happiest in her studio surrounded by piles of colorful fabrics. In this lecture and trunk show, she’ll use examples of her work over the last 25 years to take away some of the mystery about choosing colors effectively for your quilts. Not sure what colors “go” together? This is the lecture to reduce your stress about color!
