Special Guild Events

The guild holds many special events throughout the year.  Check the descriptions below to see both our continuous events and our once a year retreats, fundraiser and celebrations.

May Fundraiser Event

  • Each May the guild meeting is reserved for our annual fundraiser. This is the main fundraiser for the guild. Fabulous baskets, quilts, and notions will be auctioned.

    More details to follow as we get closer to the event.

January Charity Sew-in

  • Our Annual Charity Sew-in will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at PARC, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Bring your lunch.  This is a great opportunity to meet other guild members.  Please join us to sew quilts for the Comfort Quilts and Veterans groups.  Ryan’s Cases for Smiles will also be there for you to sew pillowcases for their cause.

    It is important that you register for this event due to space limitations. Please sign-up at the Comfort Quilt table at our monthly meetings. If you are unable to attend meetings before the Sew-in, please contact Lee Ann Comegys.   You will need to bring the following:  sewing machine, sewing machine pedal and cords, scissors, pins, needles, and rotary cutter.  We will have irons, ironing boards and cutting mats.  If you have fabric and a pattern you would like to work on, please bring that as your project.  Kits for Comfort Quilts and Veterans Quilts can be reserved on the sign-up sheet. Fabric for pillowcases will be available.

    Please consider being a part of this annual event. It is a wonderful opportunity to create quilts and pillowcases for those in need. 

    Nothing comforts like a quilt or a cute pillowcase!

Fall Quilt Retreat

  • The Fall retreat will be held October 8-11, 2026 (Thursday through Sunday) at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn and Restaurant in Bird-in-Hand, PA.
    Room includes full breakfast buffet Friday and Sunday 7:30-9:00 am

    Check out Sunday 11:00
    A $25 deposit holds your room.
    Balance due September 9, 2026

“Celebrate America” Quilt Challenge - 2026

  • Join in and be part of the celebration and show of our colorful spirits!

    Participants receive a Fat Quarter provided by the Guild, which must be incorporated into their quilt design. Quilters are encouraged to explore any technique, whether crafted by hand or machine. Quilters don’t have to be an expert quilter to participate. Just join in the fun and help us stitch a colorful celebration of our nation’s rich heritage!

    Interested quilters should sign up by the September 10, 2025 meeting. Participants receive a Fat Quarter at the October 8, 2025 meeting.

    All work on a quilt must be done by a single CCQG guild member.

    Your finished quilt is due at the May 13, 2026 meeting. Entries will be displayed at the May meeting where guild members vote for Viewer’s Choice, Best Interpretation of Theme and Most Original.

    All quilts are hoped to be exhibited at the September 2025 Mancuso Quilt Show in Oaks.

Sewing Together Days

  • Join us for virtual sew togethers! Open to all. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces!

Spring Getaway

  • We have come to a difficult decision to postpone the Spring Getaway 2024 this year and will reschedule it in 2025.
    The hotel will be under construction this winter and it will be difficult to fill the rooms to break even. All retreats are self supported and not paid for with guild funds.
    We know some of you will disappointed but we promise another fun time in 2025! If you have any questions please contact Kelly Meanix or Stephanie Braskey.
