JANUARY PROGRAM:
Annual Guild Charity Sew-In
Wednesday, January 8, 2025
PARC Campus Doors open at 9:15 AM
Meeting starts at 9:45 AM
Our Annual Charity Sew-in will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at PARC, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Bring your lunch. This is a great opportunity to meet other guild members. Please join us to sew quilts for the Comfort Quilts and Veterans groups. Ryan’s Cases for Smiles will also be there for you to sew pillowcases for their cause.
You will need to bring the following: sewing machine, sewing machine pedal and cords, scissors, pins, needles, and rotary cutter. We will have irons, ironing boards and cutting mats. If you have fabric and a pattern you would like to work on, please bring that as your project. Kits for Comfort Quilts and Veterans Quilts can be reserved on the signup sheet. Fabric for pillowcases will be available.
This is a “don’t miss event”. It is a wonderful opportunity to create quilts and pillowcases for those in need. Nothing warms like a quilt!

Quilted Sneakers
The shoes are made from 2 layers of fabric quilted to a foam interfacing. The instructions are designed for 3 fat quarters (one for exterior, one for the lining (which can be flipped to the exterior on the tongue) and one for the bias binding that finishes the edges.
